Steven L. Sablowsky

Mr. Sablowsky is a founding member of Goldblum Sablowsky, LLC.

Mr. Sablowsky concentrates his law practice in the areas of IRS (federal), state and local tax disputes, including related litigation in the U.S. District Court, U.S. Tax Court and Court of Common Pleas; business; succession, tax and estate planning and administration for individuals and business owners; and general corporate and real estate matters.

Mr. Sablowsky graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. degree in chemistry in 1970. He received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 1974 and his Masters of Law degree in Taxation (LLM) from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1976. Mr. Sablowsky was a trial attorney with the Department of Justice, Tax Division, before entering private practice.

Mr. Sablowsky is past president of the Allegheny County Tax Society, past Chairman and Executive Committee Member of the Pittsburgh Tax Club, past Chairman and Executive Committee Member of the Tax Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh. He has lectured extensively before the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, National Business Institute, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Internal Revenue Service Working Together seminars and various community groups in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and various tax subjects, including the Pennsylvania Sales and Use Tax, business succession and estate planning and criminal tax representation. Mr. Sablowsky had been a frequent guest on local radio shows dealing with estate and financial planning.

Mr. Sablowsky has been appointed as an early neutral evaluator and mediator under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Sablowsky is also active in community work, including having served as a director and past vice president of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and recipient of the Rogal/Rustlander Leadership Award.
